Bruce E. Levison, L.C.S.W. received his master’s degree in Social Work from Boston College. He is a widely experienced therapist who has worked as a clinical social worker at Dr. Blume & Associates since 1996. His current practice specialties include substance abuse, depression and anxiety disorders, marital problems, co-dependency, anger management, men’s developmental issues, employee assistance, and geriatric concerns.
Prior to working at Dr. Blume & Associates, Mr. Levison was a therapist at Wheeler Clinic in addiction services. He also worked for many years as an Employee Assistance Counselor for several large companies in CT. Fourteen years earlier, he served as Director of social services for the Dept. of Community Health at Griffin Hospital.
Mr. Levison has worked as a consultant, health planner, field supervisor, community organizer, etc. He has had many leadership positions in the mental health and addiction services fields.
Mr. Levison approaches problems of living from a solution-focused brief treatment approach and brings a wonderful sense of humor and compassion to his work.
