Dr. Blume’s art combines beauty, function, and spiritual messages from objects usually found in a typical junk drawer. Art, like life, involves transfor-mation. Hence, her creative collages are formed on scraps of wood, using decoupage, napkins and tissue paper, buttons, gems, lace, coins, ribbons and string, old jewelry, and other trinkets to form a balance of decorative charm with words of inspiration for the soul.
